RN - IBCLC
I have been a Lactation Consultant for 28 years and an RN for 32 years. As a Registered Nurse, my background has also included working in labor, delivery, and postpartum care of moms and babies. I have enjoyed every aspect of my career, but my passion has always been for breastfeeding. The joy of helping a baby learn or re-learn to breastfeed and helping a mom develop an enjoyable breastfeeding relationship with her baby is like no other feeling in the world. I have also been able to work in a Mommy and Me group at the hospital I worked at and treasured the time spent helping moms to navigate their new roles as moms and the changes that this made to their relationships. I feel lucky to have experienced all of this and look forward to meeting and helping many other moms and babies.
RN - IBCLC
My passion for helping others, especially mothers and babies, came at an early age, and since then, has only grown! As a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant, I have over 18 years of experience with mother-baby care including, labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, child birth education, and lactation. I have been working as an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) for 8 years. I love empowering moms so they can achieve their feeding goals. Seeing moms overcome their struggles, filling their baby’s tummy with breastmilk goodness, and snuggling happily, is a true blessing. I would love to support you and your family along your breastfeeding/pumping journey.
Christine Kasten -
RN - IBCLC
I have had a heart for working with moms and babies since I started as a registered nurse over 21 years ago. Whether I was working in postpartum, the NICU, labor and delivery, or in public health nursing it has always come back to the magic of that mother/baby relationship. These last few years I have had the privilege of working exclusively in lactation as an IBCLC in the hospital setting. Sometimes breastfeeding doesn’t come easily or is fraught with bumps along the way. I love being able to help families navigate the myriad of breastfeeding challenges that can crop up during this journey. It is such a joy to see a mom and baby on the other side of those challenges enjoying the time spent at the breast. All families deserve to be heard, to have expert care, and to feel empowered in their health choices. I am grateful and honored every time a family invites me to be a partner in helping them reach their feeding goals.
